Surprise Surprise

they ALL have hand, foot mouth! Kade and Kyle are on the tail end, although Kyle's is still pretty severe. Lauren and Brandon were spotted with sores in the mouth. They are all bummed about possibly missing the first days of school. Steve did some research on the computer reading up about the symptoms and what not. Apparently if you have the disease, you are contagious all throughout as well as a week after the sores have healed. How the heck does one have a chance of escaping? I am hoping that Brandon will skate through this without too much pain and discomfort.

So tonight I went to fill the other prescription we received...the "magic mouthwash" Which by the way works wonders. I had to chase Kyle to get him to try it and immediately afterward he got a smile on his face and his eyes lit up....it feels better already! he says.

Why are some people intelligent, but lack some common sense? I was at the pharmacy tonight. The pharmacist was clearly not getting it. I was watching as the tech was trying to help a customer and she was flitting around not quite sure how to help. Anyways I go to do the consult and she says to rinse in the mouth and not to drink it. What's it for? she asks. Hand foot mouth. She has this perplexed look What? I'm thinking how are you a pharmacist and you have never heard of such a thing. I go on to explain to her that it is a viral infection with open sores in the mouth. I tell her that my 2 year old has infected his other siblings including a 3 month old and can I use the medicine on him. Again perplexed look. Then she says HOW could he infect the others? Well it's highly contagious. What was he doing kissing on everyone? Well DUH! Yeah two year olds are gross creatures. They put their hands in their mouths, up their noses and in other places and touch everything and yes they do kiss their baby brothers because they don't understand about germs and such. She must not have children.

Been making toast and jam (strawberry of course) and a glass of chocolate milk that past few nights before bed. Steve just commented on my new routine. Must run in the family. Dad has the right idea.

Sorry to hear about the HFM! I love your motherly aggitation at the oblivious pharmasist. Very annoying! Oh and I love the b/w mix with color you figured out, its very classic. Hang in there!
