Today I decided that Kade would only have is pacifier at bedtime. So I took it away at breakfast and he FLIPPED out. Seriously threw the biggest fit for most of the morning. Crying and continually asking for "my pacifier" I took him to the store to take his mind off of things. He didn't calm down until we were almost through. He is very attached to that thing. He ALWAYS has it in his mouth. It was amazing that I could actually understand him today. He was very happy to have it this evening.
I have a feeling that tomorrow will be another hard day.
Must be strong.
We must leave the pacifier in order to move on to potty training.
I have a huge bag of M&M's to help with this.

I love how real your blogs are! Getting rid of the dreaded pacifier is hard! I swore when Julia was 2 it would be gone, so after her THIRD birthday I was glad dad "lost" it, also glad I was not the bad guy in that one. Giving it to him only at night is a great great great start!
Hang in there!
