Lauren danced in her recital and did a great job. I cannot believe that I did not snap one photo of her....I'm trying not to beat myself up about that one. She was excited to have her makeup on and was amazed at how very LONG her eyelashes are.
Starting today, no p-a-c-i-f-i-e-r during the day. We are going to start in slow again. This time I am determined to be firm. He has asked numerous times for the thing and has told me he is ready for bed. So funny. Here are a few photos of him from this weekend. We have not gotten outside since our cold spell. He enjoyed playing with his trucks in the sandbox and even humored me with cooperating for the camera. Afterwards he said mom that's enough okay?
Kyle was cracking us up during the dance recitial. He brought his gameboy and it couldn't have been over soon enough for him. He has this thing for making comments loudly right when things have gotten quiet. You could hear him say, "This better be good." and "When is this going to be over?" So Kyle.
Kade loves the "bebiver" (screwdriver) He need to fix things with Philipe. He has taken the door off of my blue table. He loves to help fix things around the house. We just love how he says screwdriver. I had hopes of doing an entire post on the screwdriver with a picture of the two of them. Kade would not cooperate.
We had a really yummy dinner last night. Super easy too.
Chicken Parmesan
Sauce:
2 Tbls. olive oil
1 small onion minced
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cans italian stewed tomatoes (or diced)
6 chicken breasts thawed
1/2 cup milk
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 cup parmesan cheese (shredded)
mozzarella cheese
Heat skillet add oil and saute onion and garlic. Add tomatoes and simmer for 20 min. Puree mixture. Add 1/3 sauce to bottom of baking dish. While sauce is simmering, pound chicken breast down. Place milk in one pie dish and bread crumbs and parmesan in another. Dip chicken into milk and then bread crumb mixture. Place into baking dish. Pour the rest of the sauce over chicken. Sprinkle mozzarella in top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

Thanks for sharing that recipe! I've been dying for a good chicken parmigan recipe. I make Candace's beef stogonaff recipe all the time. Recipes are so much better coming from someone rather than on-line or from a book.
I love chicken parmesan.
your jim abbott story is so funny.
also, I think I came up with a solution for my quilt center.
That is funny about Lauren & her LONG eyelashes!
