Steve called and said "Let's go to Disneyland...tonight" That was at noon on Wednesday. We packed, found a room and left Las Vegas at 9:30 p.m. and arrived safely at about 2a.m. Very quick ride there....no traffic. One of the perks of being a crazy people and driving when everyone else is sleeping. Spontaneity is difficult for a family of 6.
We managed to leave Kade's crocies!! So he got two new pairs of tennis shoes which he wasn't very happy about at first, but now he loves. And I'm glad he has more of a variety now.
The kids were CRAZY with excitement. They couldn't have been more surprised. Kade had a blast. He was excited about the tram ride to the park. We knew it was going to be a good day. The kids were well behaved. The park was pleasant. 10 minute tops wait on anything. We love that. Brandon did have the worst end of the deal. Poor baby couldn't get down and crawl around. So he basically spent three days strapped into something. It will be better next time when he is walking.
We didn't focus too much on the characters this time. We left the autograph books at home on accident. I only took my camera in one day. It nice not to have to worry about where the camera was and just have fun. But the kids did see Mickey and Pooh bear. Kade was not the least bit scared. He was all smiles and wanting to hug them. I love this age. They had pirates all around near the ride. The were hilarious and Kyle and Kade had quite the exchange with one of them. We were sitting waiting for Steve to get our outrageously overpriced food, and Kyle was taunting a pirate over the gate. Kade and Kyle ran to get him. Kade stood at the gate and said ROOAR!! The pirate came chasing after them.. Kade was not as brave once he was following him. He asked their names and the pirate kept mixing everyone up. Kyle was in heaven. Kade went on the pirates ride twice. Although he did not enjoy it. He said it's to scary. I don't blame him.
Overall the trip was a hit. Kade already asked if we can drive back to Mickey's house tomorrow. I am extremely exhausted. We did not get to bed until 3a.m this morning. Two nights of going to bed at that hour has done me in. Looking forward for things to get back to normal.
