So it's that time of year again to reflect and make goals for the following year. It's nice to have a new start. To be excited about things to enjoy and learn. Last year I started an album of all of my favorite photos. Haven't finished it yet, but I plan to do the same for this year. It is nice to have them all in one place and to look back on stuff. No pressure, no journaling just photos. Simple. Doable.
I don't generally record what it is I'd like to accomplish. There is always a ton of things that I'd like to learn or try or be better at.... I think that I'll just put it out there and see what happens this time next year. My goals fall into several categories. (spiritual, physical, creative, emotional) But to have a better chance of succeeding I want to focus on just a few things.... Family Prayer, continued Family Home Evening, Family Scripture Study, temple once a month. I'd like for there to be more peace in our home. I know that these simple acts can help bring more love and respect and reverence.
Having stated the main goals, I'll list a few more...
exercising and eating right. Hello I have not exercised in YEARS!
I am going to sign up at a small gym close to home and go three times a week.
I'll feel better!
Preparing healthier meals for the entire family.
Yelling less. (that sounds bad....I don't always yell)
Saying "yes" to the kids more
Enjoying them and having more fun together.
Gaining better control over routines and not being such a "pushover"
Organizing my life...(this happens every January) I think that it is harder to be organized in a smaller space. I need to utilize the areas I have. Declutter baby! (when the kids are in school of course) **Remember when Mom threw out that big bag of Barbie stuff!!!of all the nerve!**
Start scrapping again. Something, anything.
Continue to learn more about my camera.
Learn to quilt
Sew some pillows for the kids rooms oh and curtains.
Food storage
And now for some cool sites. Found this in my browsing. I have not used it yet. Printed it out and we'll see if it is helpful in manual mode of shooting. I can't get the numbers in my head for the life of me. I just guess. Also this lady I've already mentioned previously. She is a wealth of information in regards to understanding camera stuff. I reread her "three spokes for cool folks" highlighted in her Jan. 2nd post again. Starting to seep into my brain. Understanding a little better. I just really enjoy her blog. Also just spotted this...what a cool idea. Probably won't follow along with my own. But a cool idea to file away for another day.
