Kyle has been struggling and getting frustrated in the reading/spelling department. He LOVES math. Will do a bazillion math pages for homework gladly. He despises the reading/writing pages. I have been really focusing on making sure he gets what he needs daily as far as practicing the spelling words for the week and one on one reading time with me. His new teacher expects a lot from them. She used to teach 6 & 7th graders in New York. So sometimes that makes me worry. That maybe she's not used to what these little ones can handle. The homework pack is SO thick. More homework than Lauren ever had at that age. But I suppose it is good practice for him. I can definitely see progress.
Last week, during family scripture study, he read through a verse without assistance and was stoked. He can't wait to read the scriptures now because he gets a turn and he's BIG cause he can read stuff.
So here is a copy of his spelling test that he did well on because he studied! We are proud of him.
