Happy Birthday Kade!

Although we are not allowed to discuss this day without a serious freak out! He does not want cake, presents or a party.....so today I tried my best to celebrate with him, without him knowing. We went to the library, then a quick trip to Costco. Spent to afternoon at home playing catch and the fish game, watching Diego and Clifford. Waiting for the sun to go down so we can swing. He did enjoy an ice cream cone. Later we are going swimming and I will make some cupcakes for FHE dessert. We are planning a family party this weekend even though he objects. We'll let you know specifics.

We love Kade...he definitely has his idea of how things should be. He doesn't like to be the center of attention. He loves books. He is extremely independent. When he's tired, he asks to go to bed. He still crawls into our bed every night around 2 a.m. He is grouchy in the morning. He won't take a nap. He loves to be outside riding his bike. He is cautious. He as responsible as a 3 year old can be. He does a silly sponge bob face. His favorite color is "blue, and green, and red and orange" All of his d's are pronounced with a g sound. Makes for some interesting words. I love his voice and his chubby little feet and his eyes and long eyelashes. If he stayed little forever it would be alright with me.

That is hillarious that he won't let you celebrate his birthday! What a trip! He is super cute though.

Love that top black and white. Great shot! My youngest son was WAY excited to turn 3 (he wanted lots of presents!), but now that he is, he said he is done growing. If we call him a big boy, he say's "no, I am a baby." I think it's because he doesn't want to use the potty!

I've never heard of a kid who doesn't like to have a huge birthday party. That's funny.

I love his little Pottery Barn backpack.
