I helped in Kyle's class. This week they did "Camp Learned A Lot." They had crafts and snacks and last day BBQ. They worked on an art project using corn syrup and food coloring. The kids drew pictures with black crayon pressing hard and then painted the insides. They dry shiny. Kyle folded his up in his backpack and it stuck together. Typical boy thing. I'm gonna get the ingredients and have the kids make some more for a summer activity.
Kyle got the Gladiator award for the most improved student and A/B Honor Roll. I am so proud of him. He has progressed really well this year. He is reading and writing and on grade level. His comprehension of math has always been really good. But he worked so hard in the language arts area and it shows.
His teacher mentioned to me that she LOVES Kyle. That she knows teachers aren't supposed to have favorites, but Kyle is hers. It is nice to know that he is well behaved at school. It was a hard year with no friends in his class and having to make a transition with a new teacher after the winter break. Miss Roselli has been awesome.
Lauren also had her awards ceremony. She got the A/B Honor Roll, Citizenship Award and Art Quest Award. Her pictures are still on my camera. I will share later. She also did really well this year. Loved her teacher and friends.
So while leaving school today, the kids asked what friends were coming over. I caved. We had the 3 Woolf kids and then Lauren couldn't be left out so we invited the 3 Reil kids. The played on that water slide until our grass was mush. I am frightened to get the water bill.

I thought it was funny right when I opened your page that I saw Sister Weight, from my ward, who is their art teacher with Lauren!
It sounds like they both did a good job with being on the honor roll and getting other awards!
Good for your cute kiddos for working hard in school.
Make sure you share the "paint" recipe with us O.k.?
I know Linda Weight, too!
Great grades . . . Bridget's mother's day card to me (I posted it) . . . she called me "lover of good grades". That's a good thing.
I know Linda Weight too! She was in my stake and I worked with her one year for girls camp. Small world.
That's great your kids are doing so well at school. I bet you are beat though - keeping up with everyone's schedules.
Those are cute picture of your kids with their teachers. Glad school is out for a while for you!
i bet your kids will like having these photos of them with their teachers when they're older.
