Stitches

Brandon hurt his finger bad today....cut it to the bone and fractured the very tip. He just started climbing on chairs when we got back from vacation. I was busy making lunch, and he climbed up the back causing it to become unbalanced and tip onto the wood floor. His little finger was stuck in between the chair and the floor. I knew right when I saw it that he was gonna need stitches. It makes me hurt thinking about it. Need to schedule an appointment with an pediatric orthopaedic. Hoping to get that done sometime this week.

It always amazes me how I can stay calm in a crisis. I learned from the best though I suppose. Lauren was such a helper....Kyle not so much. As soon knows the little ones are hurt he is out of there. He cannot stand hearing them cry when they are in pain. Is that not the sweetest? He will go down the hall during immunizations. It's so funny.

Brandon seems to be doing better though. He will not keep anything on it, pulls the bandaids off just as soon as I get them on and keeps putting it in his mouth....so much for trying to keep it clean. I really don't know how that is possible. I am amazed by his resilience.

I was dressed all WT in sweatpants, no makeup and hair not done, blood all over my clothes. Ran into someone from high school (Darrin Irvine). I was gonna ignore the fact that I recognized him. He brought it up. But thought I was Esther Faught. After I identified myself, he said.....wow you look different. Uh yeah buddy you caught me on a good day. If I was put together I might have taken that as a compliment. Too bad he looked SO OLD! Seriously time has not helped him any. I'll give him a little credit for not feeling well but sheesh!
