Light

Lauren was the most willing of all of my kids today.
I was practicing and experimenting with my camera and light.
She was getting tired and rested her chin on her knees,
this one ended up being my favorite.
She has been feeling like the odd man out lately.
She OFTEN complains about not having a sister to play with
and that Kyle ignores her and won't play what she wants to play.
I gave her a little TLC
which is usually all it takes.
We spent some time devising a plan for a minibook.
She listed 40 things about herself and she worked on the cover.
creating, playing and a little one on one time and she's good again.
We took care of some little projects that have needed to be done.
One of those was putting in a new light fixture over the table.
I wasn't too crazy about the selection at Lowe's and Home Depot,
but I was done with only one bulb working.
Turns out it looks much better in our house than I thought it did in the store.
And the light that it emits....
beautiful!
It seriously lights up our whole downstairs.
I mentioned how great it was.
Lauren said, "Oh that's just me letting off all that light" as she walked through turning the light off and then on when she returned.
Yes she is the superstar.
Funny though how some light can make me happy!

how fun to have TLC from mom. It is hard not having sisters, but she's so lucky to have such a sweet loving mom. You guys will be so close, how special!
