I have been trying out shooting in raw instead of jpeg.With this new learning adventure comes more headaches in the area of photoshop.
So for the past two days I have been experimenting.
It has taken me much longer to do any edits because I am so unfamiliar.
Downloaded a free 30 day trial for PSCS3.
This is one of the first raw images that I am happy with.
Trying to make sense of it.
Thinking that I want to pursue this hobby of mine.
So I need to get the tools and learn them.
Have a fabulous alumni forum (thanks to Wendy's class) that has been working me through this process.
Steve is going to DIE when I tell him I want this program.
He'll get over it though :)

so do you love cs3? i was thinking of just going with cs2 so it was cheaper. hmmmm. i was going to start shooting raw - but i'm scared. eeek! good luck learning everything...there is so much!
you can get photoshop programs for around $300 through a lot of sites since you have school aged children. You just have to send them a report card to prove it, and then you get a HUGE discount. If you are interested I can look up the site for you, (it's on my other computer!)

oh yea... Steve's gonna freak..haha. You can buy it through like the college book stores... it says educational version on the package, but it's the exact same thing and you'll save a TON of money.
I have no idea what all this lingo is but I like the picture of Kade. You are going to have to teach me everything you have been learning.
