I thought I should attempt to take a photo of all four kids for Christmas cards before the rain started....this is how it went down: I didn't care what they were wearing, but Lauren was insisting on her puffy jacket. I am just happy she likes it. She has issues with the puffiness. In year's past, she would not wear puffy jackets because she thought it made her look fat! Crazy girl. Anyways, Brandon wanted no part of this. Which makes me think I'm not getting a shot of all four so I better have a new idea. When Kade was his age, we had to do individual shots and put them all together. I think that will be the plan again.
My kids get so excited when it rains. I remember being happy when it rained as a kid too. It was always fun to play outside. Remember when it would flood every now and then on the state streets, especially on the big dip on Arden? People would get in their bathing suits and tube down those streets. I always wished we could do that. Mom always said NO! I can totally see her point now....How WT is that, really though? Anyways, my kids are digging in the wood chips. They say they are mining. I have not actually been all the way out there to see the damage, but they are filthy, and it's been an hour or so, all three of them.....I can only imagine. Oh well, it's good fun. The kind we used to have when we were kids. Playing for hours outside. It just doesn't happen like that anymore.
Finally, I forgot to post this the other day. The kids enjoyed having Lauren home during playgroup. When Lauren noticed Mollie's shirt, she had to change into hers so they could be twins. They thought it was cool.

Yes I remember playing in the rain. It was so much fun.
That was the first thing Tanner said when I picked him up...."Mom can I play outside when I get home?"
Cute shirt. Must be O.N. Didn't see that on line the other day.
Your a nice mom to let them outside today. We stayed in all day. I'm paranoid about them getting sick right now, even though one already is. Gotta keep that under control!
I loved playing in the rain too, especially when we had the warm summer rains. Yes, I remember the flooding of the state streets too. Since I lived on Colorado we called it the Colorado river- fun days! Thanks SO much for your e-mail. You were very helpful and I really want to look in to taking Wendy Shulz' class!
That is so funny, Trace wanted to play outside too. I remember playing with the Leavitt's in the rain! They use to have intertubes and we would all climb on it and go tubing down the street! Oh, The good ol days!
