It was genius...the idea of small versions of the real thing.
But then again Mom IS a genius!
They loved having their own creation.
It went faster, and there was less contention!

Having 8 kids has made Dad and Mom exceptional people.
They are both so patient with the grandkids.
Dad came home from work last night to a houseful of kids....
all busily working, and waiting, and eating, and needing things....
Mom orchestrating the whole process.
Never missing a beat.
Making things run smoothly while everyone was enjoying themselves.
Dad grabbed a kid, went around talking to the rest
Playing with the babies....he didn't even mind that we all ate his soup.

Brooke summed it up....Mom and Dad are good at finding little moments of one on one with the kids. Even though there is so much always going on, they know each one and make them feel special. Kinda like what they did when we were kids. Such good parents and grandparents!
I am grateful for them!

That is so true! Mom and Dad are amazing people and such a great example to all of us! I hope that I am just like them when I am a Grandparent.
