Assignment 5

The task for this week was to snap a photo that tells a story. That's hard for me because they all tell a story. Here are a few that I am thinking of sharing. I don't think that I'll be able to choose just one. What do you think? Which is your favorite??

Assignment 4

I have shared this photo already, but I used it for my assignment. We were to show a photo straight out of the camera and then altered in photoshop....either color or black and white.
I have been reading discussions about the benefits of shooting in RAW. Has piqued my interest.

However the thing that most disturbs me is some talk of losing quality every time a JPEG is opened and cropped or altered in photoshop. So please, those of you that are well versed in PS, tell me what you do. What is your workflow....when you alter. Also resizing......how do you do that and still save the quality of your photo??? Do you uncheck resample when you make the image smaller??? This stuff is giving me a headache.

Assignment 3

Our job was to shoot food. I'm not all that pleased with the composition on these. Especially the one of Kade with his ear cropped off. But it is what it is.

Assignment 2

I wasn't at all excited about assignment number 2. It was all about natural light. The lighting in my house STINKS! The only decent ones I can ever get are when I am standing outside the slider. So our assignment was to get two shots inside. These are my two.
Lauren was excited to be my model. Halfway through she thought the flower in her hair might look nice.

Photography Assignment #1

Our assignment was to set up a shoot of something not a person. So I chose Kade's trike. Then play, play and play. Here's a sampling of a few that I turned in.
