Haven't updated for awhile. Lots has been going on...
Steve: Is starting to feel comfortable at work. He is working on getting a signed contract soon that will ease his nerves and he can pretty much bet on being there for at least 3 years. The drama in the office is lessening. He's still working out two times a week and getting his evening run in. He looks and feels a lot better! So proud of him
Me: My birthday came and went. Mom and Amber came and brought me lunch. It was a nice break in my day. I have been busy with Super Saturday, had to teach the R.S. lesson last week as well as karate and gymnastics, school carpools, playgroup, homework and the usual cleaning and straightening. Been lucky to fit in a few scrapbook pages this week.
Lauren: Has been having rough times. Sometimes I feel like we are constantly struggling and pulling against one another. Drama with hairdos and outfits and where she wants to go and listening and obeying me. Always a fight. I need to remember that she is only 7. I need to give her more support. She's gone all day and I don't get as much time to connect with her. I need to make that time!
Kyle: He is one silly boy. He's been having a blast playing with his friends. All the previous issues have been worked out. School is good for him. He's been doing well in karate. Is starting to stay in his bed until the morning....(so far this week)
Kade: Always wants his shoes on. Can say outside. Loves outside. Always wants to be outside. Has this little game he likes to play where he puts the rocks into his mouth and comes laughing to me and spits them in my hand. Drives me crazy. I'm afraid he's going to choke. Loves the airplanes. Stops and points and makes noises that resemble the word airplane. Started saying "hi" this week. Is growing taller I think. Starting to look more like a little boy. Sweet boy just so very active.
We all took a family bike ride last night. The kids were so excited! Such nice weather and great trails we have around here. We are lucky to live in such a nice neighborhood. I wanted to test Kyle to see if he could make it to the school. He amazed me....he only had to stop 2 or 3 times before we made it there (it's mostly uphill) So they are geared up for some bike riding to school. Just went and got some locks at Target. I remember wanting to ride to school. They are just so proud that they are getting bigger. Love those kids!
This weekend we are going to tackle our closet. I am so sick of our closet. Clothes that need to be given away or thrown out, shoes always everywhere. If there's not a home for something it gets thrown into that little space. So much clutter. I saw some closet systems at Target: California closets. We are going to try them. I envision a functional closet. Hoping that will be accomplished by the end of Saturday evening.
