My Scrapping Boys

So here are my boys this morning....scrappin away. I was clearing my desk, putting things away and Kyle started making some pages with my leftover scraps. The end product was a bunch of papers with "secret codes" on them. I promised to buy him his very own scrapbook to put them in since Lauren already has one. He's way excited about that.

Lauren was asking about boogers today. Where do they come from, why do we have them, what are they for....on and on. I promised that I would do a little research so she could read up on this very interesting topic when she got home from school. I didn't really have all the technical answers at the top of my head. She is one inquisitive girl. And talkative can I say. Steve always says it's a good thing we live on Chatterer Street. Lauren is our little chatterer.

Last night Lauren and Kyle were sharing the top bunk. They do that pretty regularly. I could hear them deep in conversation. When I went in to remind them to go to sleep, Kyle gave me the low down...apparently he thinks that he doesn't have any friends. Lauren was being so sweet and we reassured him that he does and that sometimes friends don't get along but then they are friends again. He says "Kason has half a heart of black and half a heart of pink." Why? I say. "Because sometimes he only likes Andrew and Shane and is mean to me and sometimes I'm his friend." How cute is that. He is such an aggressive dude. All or nothin kind of kid. I think that he is overwhelming sometimes. He wants so badly to be liked, and he is. He just sometimes doesn't know when to quit. So sensitive and rough at the same time. I think that he felt alright about the friend situation after our conversation. I love that dude!
