List of Things

1. Went to Mom's for Sunday dinner. Steve had to go out to Pahrump. Came home to a straightened downstairs complete with kitchen dishes done. That is HUGE! I get so uptight lately when things aren't done and in order. He said, "Just wanted you to have a good Monday morning." Such a nice, thoughtful thing to do.

2. Something is wrong with my camera. Went to download pictures off of the memory card, and the computer is not identifying my camera. Thought it was a bad memory card....switched it out. That's not the problem. Will go to Target tomorrow and buy a new cord. Hoping that is the problem.

3. Been reading Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. The more I read the more confused I get. I suppose that is progress though. So hard for my brain to understand the triangle. I am going to do the hands on exercises he suggests and I am hoping it will click.

4. Kids are expensive! Went and did some last minute school shopping. It is HOT and it is hard to look at fall things. Bought some short sleeved shirts and shorts. They can wear those up until October at least. Went to Target and bought all the school supplies. That is always so fun for me. Spent a pretty penny and I still have to get backpacks and lunchpails.

5. Am going to get the kids going on a art project for the playroom. Saw this idea on another blog. Bought some canvas from Michaels and were going to paint squares with letters of the alphabet and beginning sound pictures. Will be super cute when it's done....but the main reason for doing it is to keep them busy and their minds occupied with something other than electronic devices.

6. Lauren is my little bookworm. Put her to bed last night at 9, she stayed up reading in the dark until 10:30 or 11:00. After which she proudly came out and stated that she had finished her entire Judy Moody book.

7. Having issues with medical bills and insurance for Brandon. These types of situations make me so irritable. After dealing with it all day yesterday just to find out that nothing was accomplished, I dealt with it today by ignoring it. Good one huh?

8. I'm loving HGTVs Design Star. Such an entertaining show. Love all the creativity.

9. Wanting a new mixer. Looking at the Kitchenaids. My stand mixer could not cut the bread making and it's dead. So what's the difference between the various models? Would love some input. Told Steve I want one for my birthday in a few weeks. Yikes!

My LDS radar started beeping as soon as I clicked on here!

Hi from Houston. We have a Lauren too.

You should totally get a KitchenAid - I have one and I love it. They are supposed to last a really long time, too.

KitchenAids are supposed to be the best. I've wanted one for a while.
