Grateful

Went to the ER on Wednesday at around midnight. I was having serious, constant pains on the left side of my back. Could not find any position that would bring relief. Found out I had a small kidney stone that was causing serious havoc to my body. Got some pain meds and came home to suffer until it passed. It's Sunday night and I am feeling so much better. I'm still sore and a bit weak and tired, but the constant pain is GONE! Thank goodness. The P.A. said that this is the equivalent of labor pains....Well it definitely was painful just a different kind of pain. NOTHING compares to labor pains.

Anyways I sometimes wonder why things happen. So to focus on the good....I am so grateful for many things.
1) For Steve who stepped up to the plate, never complained, took care of things around here, cooked dinners, brought me the baby, drove to and from school, did the dishes and laundry and made sure I was taking my medicine and drinking water. So nice to know that he loves me.
2) For Mom who drove here two mornings in a row to play with Kade and Brandon so we could sleep.
3) For Dad who came to bring me some gravel root....late one evening after I'm sure a long day of working. For wishing that it was him instead of me.
4) For my neighbor, Linde Woolf, who came right over to stay with the kids that night and stayed until 6:30 a.m. She got up and feed Brandon in the night and dealt with Kade and even straightened up my house. Then took Kyle to play the next day.
5) For Hannah's mom who took Lauren to play.

Sometimes when you're down and you can't physically do your responsibilities, it puts everything into perspective. Who cares about the house. I really enjoyed just spending time with the kids afterschool. All that is important is the love in our house. And we show love and receive love through our service to one another.
