We are not well equipped for winter being here in Las Vegas. I can pretty much get away with wearing flip flops all year long. Well today is flippin cold. The weatherman says we could get snow. My kids are counting on it. Kyle agreed to wear his heavy coat today. Both he and Lauren have issues with the heavy coats making them look fat! They generally don't need them, a sweatshirt will do. So this year, I decided that I wasn't going to waste my money on a coat that Lauren would never wear. Today Lauren had a dentist appointment and we had to bundle up and go out in it. (We are wimps I know, if we lived somewhere really cold we would die!) Lauren, me and the two babes had to walk so far because parking is a bear. I have the same problem as Lauren I don't own a really good winter coat. I don't know why probably because I can just get by. Plus it is really difficult to buy something so warm when it is 100 degrees outside. I can't possibly imagine it getting cold enough to wear one. But hello every year it does. Lauren and I made a vow to buy a big winter coat for next year when the time rolls around. Lauren wants them to be matching. I told her we could probably swing it.
Have been feeling a little like this the past couple of days.... (Such an old photo, but says it all!) According to my kids, I have it easy I can do whatever I want. Oh such perspective they have. Anyways, I feel like I never have any fun. I am the one that has to make the fun happen for everyone else. I cook and clean and drive and once everyone gets home, it's like there are 4 cyclones in the house and I start all over again. Very discouraging. So Steve is going hunting with his brothers tonight and Kyle is having a late over here because life isn't fair for him ever! Wonder where he gets that from? I need to buck up and get over it.

I love your blogs, especially these straight from the gut gotta-get-it-off -my-chest blogs! Umm yeah you would die here in good ole CO, even Im about to!! Yesterday I took Julia to the dentisit too and had Lauren adn a little one I watch and I totally thought of YOU and said to myself, "how do people with 4 kids to this???" and i can totally relate to bearish parking, not only were we yards away from the enterance, but the whole parking lot was ICE and then we had to climb a snow barrier to get across the valet to the door! Holding Lauren and gripping hands was an adventure we barely survivied! Best of all..I FORGOT my coat!!!! Burrrr Freezing!
I was cracking up at that picture! So funny! I'm not sure how people with 4 kids do it either. I'm still asking how people with 3 kids do it!?!
Kids are so funny too--love it! I remember telling mom that when I grew up I wanted to be a mom so I could sit on the couch & watch tv all day! Pretty funny cause I should have said sit at the computer & read blogs all day and not do any housework! That sounds more like it!
okay so I hate to be this way (cause it's all relative, but....) it's like 6 degrees outside right now & my kitchen pipes are frozen. It takes FOREVER for the car to warm up when you go anywhere. So not cool.
