to wait until the sun is going down and head out in the backyard to play. I grab the camera and take a few. My kids are used to it. Me having the camera in my face while I talk with them and they play. It seems like I get the same kinds of shots though. My last assignment for the photography class is to move locations. Go somewhere that is not familiar. This is a good challenge for me. I have become comfortable in my yard. Am aware of the lighting and good times of day to shoot. Going somewhere completely different will challenge me to fiddle with the settings and hopefully be more creative in my composition. Trouble is, I don't have much time this week. Maybe next.
We worked in the yard this past Saturday. Spread new wood chips and filled the pond. Looks clean and new again. Love how a new layer of wood chips does that. They boys are fascinated with the pond. They are usually in it. Yesterday, they figured out they could take the head off and spray water all over the wall and themselves and use it to make their hair into mowhawks. I hope they get over that once it is filled with fish.

Lauren is my little bookworm. She has gotten into the Series of Unfortunate Events books. She reads ALL the time! Especially times when she shouldn't be reading: like bedtime and in the mornings when she should be getting ready for school. I have found her many a nights on the floor trying to use the only light from the bathroom to read.

This little guy likes the swing. But when he's done, he gets out by slipping through the bottom. Most of the time, he doesn't wait until I'm done pushing him. Scary!

And these two have become buds. That is nice to see!

These pictures are so great. The planter looks really pretty, I need to come see it in person.
Both pictures of Kyle and Kade together are so cute. So cute.
That first picture is so cute of the boys in the planter. I love their dirty feet.
I love the picture of Brandon in the swing. That look is soo familiar. "Help, mom! Get me out!" Too Cute.
