Her last year before double digits.

CRAZY!

We celebrated last Saturday, but that was not enough.

She was quite demanding yesterday

and I had enough....

enough of sick kids, hot weather, fighting bored kids, Steve working too late, housework, lack of sleep and me time.

Needless to say, I was grumpy

and her demands were adding to my grumpiness.

Amber brought her boys over

and they played on the water slide.

She brought pizza with her.

It made Lauren feel special.

I feel bad for my attitude.

I did make it up to her later that evening.

We went to see Hairspray at her request.

She invited her friend Hannah.

I had a happy girl again.

So 9 things about my favorite girl:

1. She is sharp and witty. Hardly anything gets past this girl.

2. She loves to know things and loves to read.

3. She is able to hang with the boys, but also enjoys doing girly things.

4. She is responsible.

5. She is a night owl.

6. She is a good friend.

7. She is creative.

8. She is shy, but at the same time puts herself out there.

9. She is usually patient with her younger brothers. She will make an awesome babysitter someday.

Sometimes she has the hardest part in our family.

She is the oldest and only girl and we expect much from her.

I appreciate all that she is and all that she is becoming.

She is a sweet girl who wants to do what is right.

So glad that she is a part of our family.

I love her more each day!
