We are home. It was a long trip, but it was good. We did not escape the heat, but the kids don't remember SLC it's been so long. We did Lagoon (which we probably could have done without) it felt like a glorified carnival and Steve and I aren't much for the spinning rides. Thankfully we were able to spend some time in the water park area to cool off. Then we went to the zoo, which was a hit. It was really kicked back and we all had a good time. Stopped by this is the place monument and then hit temple square before we left for Vegas. We didn't get to everything at the temple, but we did tour the conference center. That is an amazing building with a strong, peaceful spirit. We had planned on staying until Sunday, but Brandon did us in. He is difficult when we aren't at home. After 3 days of walking in the heat and not getting much sleep we decided to leave a day early. We also had issues with our hotel room the last night. They changed us in the evening to another room because we couldn't order a movie. Once we changed that TV didn't operate either and we discovered the air conditioning wasn't working. We tried to tough it out. I was DYING at 1am and went down to the lobby to request another room. We escorted the kids and all of our things down the hall. We were so DONE with this vacation.Family vacations are good. Lots of work, but good. It is great to be home though.

That looks like the kids had fun. I love that zoo! And Brandon looks so big to me!
Looking at your pictures reminded me of when we took a trip there a long time ago, like the picture of Kyle on the how do you measure up sign.

That's too funny. I said the same thing to my husband about Lagoon. "It's like a glorified Carnival." My kids still loved it though. Glad you got to get away for a bit.
What a great little get away, except the hotel- GEEZ! THats terrible, I can see wanting to get HOME where there is at least air conditioning and t.v.!! :)
