First Day of School

I kind of feel like a bad mom.

First off, I thought that school started on Thursday instead of Monday,

where I got that crazy idea, I can't say.

I didn't do one little bit of school shopping

until Saturday morning,

when I felt bad that they didn't have anything new to wear.

So I hopped on over to Old Navy and got a couple of tees for each of them.

Didn't even buy shoes....

is that so wrong?

They carried the same backpacks that they used last year.

And guess what? They are totally okay with it.

They were so excited to be going back to school,

seeing friends and meeting their new teachers!

They had no worries about what they were wearing.

Kind of made me feel better about giving myself such a hard time.

I cannot bring myself to buy fall clothes when it is 100+ degrees outside

Can't do it!

So I took the first day of school shots, barely

with the little ones running around.

Even though it's not technically the best photo....

I love it because that is Kyle.

He is such a lovie.

Always has been.

He always tries to steal a kiss or a hug from any of us.

It gets on Lauren's nerves.

I think it's cute.

Because of the monstrous storm,

the kids went straight into their classrooms.

I dropped them at the curb and they found their way.

They walked to me after school.

Nice to have big kids and no Kindergartners this year.

Easiest first day of school EVER!
