Today was a good day

We have made it to the end of the week. The Evans kids came to play for most of the afternoon and then we all went to Silver Mesa one last time before school begins. Everyone had a good time. I am happy that Kyle actually played something today instead of vegging in front of the T.V. He participated in some make believe-- playing house. His made up name was Nathan. So good for his imagination. Of course the play was facilitated by Lauren. Kade was totally into all the kids chasing them around and interacting. He was one of the bunch. I have a feeling he is going to miss those two once they're gone at school most of the day. While the kids were playing, I was able to help Lisa Evans get some books done for the kindergarten orientation tomorrow. I always feel so bad for teachers. I so appreciate all that they do, but I am sure it is difficult balancing family and school. I am so lucky to be at home. I could not do both and do it well. I think some days I don't do the job of mom well. Grateful beyond words that Kyle is in her class. It will definitely make the transition easier on me. Since school is the topic around here...Both kids are so excited about getting a "sneak peek" at their classrooms tomorrow. Kyle keeps asking how many days are left. It will be so good for all of us. Tomorrow evening I get a brief night away with the newly formed scrapbook group in the ward. I do not usually like to go away from my scrapbook supplies, but I am looking forward to visiting and relaxing. I'm not going to put a lot of pressure on myself about getting a certain amount done. I think that I will try and finish the 4th of July album and then just scraplift something wonderful so I have all the supplies I need. Should be fun!
To top this good day off, all the children are sleeping soundly. I can tell they got enough exercise! Love that.
