Ramblings

You know what's really gross? When you are suddenly awakened after only two hours of being asleep to acidy throw up in your mouth. Gagging and coughing and trying to recover before laying back down again. Disgusting! That's what continues to happen on a regular basis. I am so sick of that feeling! It doesn't help that I eat everything that I'm not supposed to that triggers the relaxation of the flap in the stomach muscle. Chocolate, orange juice, ice cream. I can't help myself.

Went to a R.S. luncheon group today. Love the ladies that are there. We had these yummy P.F. Chang's knockoff lettuce wraps. SO good. Got the recipe. I'll pass it along. Kade and I had a busy day. He is just now going down for a nap. After the lunch, we went to the school to cheer the kids on for their "fun run" A fundraiser for the PTA. Man was it HOT! It didn't help that they were the last two grades to run. They both did well.
As Lauren was running, I had a nice conversation with her teacher. She asked what is this Lauren has two older sisters? I said no...just two brothers and one on the way. She wishes she had an older sister. Her teacher just laughed. She has been going on and on about these sisters. That stink! We need to have some serious honesty talks. Anyways her teacher said that Lauren has just made her year. She loves her, she
thinks that she is SO funny and crazy! This week she was tested for GATE. I told Lauren it was no big deal just try and do her best on the test. Her teacher said the GATE teacher was quite impressed with Lauren and we would know the results by next
week. Lauren was quite confident that she got every question right. I asked her why she thought that and she said "because the teacher said that I was doing a good job and really thinking about every answer." Such confidence!
Steve came home one day this week and said we could probably name the baby Cole that would be alright with him. So we'll h ave to see. At least it's a start. The baby will not remain nameless.
Tonight we have a babysitter. I am exhausted from being out in the sun all afternoon, doesn't help that Kyle has a 9 a.m. game tomorrow morning. Who cares though. I don't know where we're going but we could go to the car wash for all I care...just as long as I get out.
