Happy little things

First of all it is nothing short of amazing that I was FINALLY able to figure out the profile picture. AMAZING! What I realized is that I don't have photos of myself. According to most of the events recorded by my camera I am not present. I need to add that to the list of resolutions. At least one photo a month of myself. Not a self portrait. I need to turn the camera over to the kids or Steve once in awhile. The only picture I could find was from April and looking back through the year, there are less than a handful of me. Need to work on that.

Kade: He is cracking us up. We all know the Kimberly story with all the buttons being "white" white? "no white" Oh RIGHT! Well.....we have been having fun with Kade. He says things so funny that when we copy his way of saying things he gets upset and says no and says it his way again. He must think that he is saying it the right way. Here are a list of our favorite Kade words. (I don't want to forget) Sarson=Carson (That's our favorite)

Dag=Dad
I go to feep=sleep
fut the door= shut
Now that I'm sitting here, I can't remember. I'll add to this list.
We went to Target today. I bought some little boxers. Kade does not want to wear them, he prefers his diaper. They are there when he is ready. BTW he did use the potty today twice. We are getting there and it makes me happy.

Brandon: Is crawling everywhere. He giggles and laughs when he sees me. I call him my little bear cub because I'll get down and crawl with him and he comes to me laughing. So sweet. What would be sweeter is if he would SLEEP!

Kyle: Read a book last night! He was so excited! He generally gets frustrated with reading. He is doing well, but likes math better. At nights he's tired of school, doesn't want to do his homework and would rather hear a book than have to decode and read to me. He brought up an easy reader last night and knew most of the words. The smile on his face said it all. Steve and Lauren gave him some praise and he was so lovin that he did it.

Lauren: Is seeking approval. I am trying to be positive with her. She tries really hard to do what is right. I appreciate all that she does to help me with the boys. We have had a pleasant couple of mornings. For that I thank her. Mornings can be rough on all of us. She has done a fantastic job of being responsible and keeping the peace.

We have successfully kept up with family scripture study and prayer this week. Makes me happy. It's all about endurance though. We'll keep on trying.
This is up again on the stairs....boundaries love them!
